TGI-FriYAY Series: YIN*yasa ~ Balancing Yin & Yang with Linda di Desidero
In-Studio & Online Friday, March 27 from 5:30pm-6:45pm
This 75-minute class is designed to help you create balance and harmony in your body (and in your life). First, the class will build heat and strength through a fiery Vinyasa Flow practice, with breath-initiated, fluid movements that sequentially warm and open the body. Then, calm the nervous system and lengthen your body through a cooling Yin practice.
Yin yoga consists of seated and reclining postures with your body supported by props (blankets, bolsters, blocks) sustained for three to five minutes. The poses provide strategic traction to the joints so yourbody can lay down healthy connective tissue, and so you can unwind and experience stillness as the body repairs itself.
The class is appropriate for yoga practitioners at any experience level with Vinyasa and/or Yin, from beginner to advanced. For those practicing from home, grab some pillows, blankets, yoga blocks (if you have them).
