Sound Bath Meditation: Restore, Regulate, Remember with Carrie Vieira, C-IAYT
In-Studio Only Sunday, April 12 | 6:00-7:15pm
Step into a restorative journey of sound, silence, and stillness designed to gently calm the nervous system and invite the body into a state of ease and presence.
This Sound Bath will immerse you in the soothing tones of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other resonant instruments, creating a layered soundscape that washes through the body and offers the mind something soft to rest upon. Guided meditation and gentle cues for awareness are woven throughout, while intentional moments of spacious silence allow for integration and deep inner listening. Together, sound and stillness create a rhythm that supports relaxation, clarity, and restoration.
Emerging research in integrative and mind-body medicine suggests that sound-based meditation practices may help reduce stress and anxiety, lower heart rate and blood pressure, improve mood, and activate the parasympathetic “rest-and-digest” response. Scientific studies (1, 2) on singing bowl meditation have found significant reductions in tension, fatigue, and depressed mood after just one session.
No prior meditation experience is needed. Participants may choose to be seated in meditation or recline in a supported savasana, or adjust to any position that feels comfortable. Simply come as you are and allow yourself to receive.
Cost: $29 by April 3; $35 as of April 4 and beyond HYC Members' 15% discount applies
