One Class on Memorial Day: Hatha Flow & Self-Myofascial Release with MaryAnn Hong

Memorial Day Monday: Hatha Flow & Self-Myofascial Release with MaryAnn Hong

In-Studio and Online
Monday, May 26 | 10:00-11:30am

Join MaryAnn for a special class before you head to the pool or your holiday BBQ! This moderate and mindful "Hatha Flow" practice aims to calm and soothe, and relieve stress and tension. Vinyasa Flow is a practice of breath-initiated, fluid movements linked together and sequenced to open the body in gradual stages, making it ideal for both strengthening where weak, and opening where tight. “Hatha Flow” slows this approach down, allowing for pauses within the sequences to hold and refine the poses.

Students will also be led through some foot reflexology and self-myofascial release using tennis balls (provided to in-studio participants). Self-myofascial release (SMR) is a great complement to yoga; it stimulates blood flow to increase the flexibility of soft tissue and  improve range of motion, while offering stress and pain relief.

The class will culminate with a long, guided savasana.

Hybrid Offering, In-Studio and Online, with Recording Option Available thru May 28th
For online participation, a link will be sent ~55 minutes prior to the start time.

Cost: Use your regular class pass or membership, or drop-in for $22
