8 Week Session: Introduction to Vinyasa Flow with Linda di Desidero
In-Studio & Online Tuesdays from 7:30 - 8:45pm Session Dates: January 13 - March 3
Vinyasa “Flow” Yoga is a practice ofbreath-initiated, fluid movements which are sequenced to open the body in safe and gradual stages. It is ideal for increasing strength, endurance, and flexibility in both the body and mind. A Vinyasa practice typically begins to build warmth through a sun salutation and/or a moon salutation followed by a flowing sequence that is repeated, sometimes becoming more complex and moving more quickly. Each posture builds on the one that came before it, helping yogis unite body, mind, and breath in the movement.
This 8-week introductory series offers participants a safe and mindful approach that integrates movement with breath in controlled sequences to help build strength, flexibility, and alignment. Classes focus on: 1) the fundamentals of the poses, and 2) basic yoga concepts to help practitioners mindfully release burdens as they build insight into daily life.
This session is appropriate for beginners with little exposure to yoga AND for students who may want to brush up on their yoga basics after some time away.
