Enrollment Sessions

Unlike drop-in classes, enrollment sessions encourage signing up for and committing to several weeks of a series.* Typically the class will have a focus (e.g. beginners, prenatal, yoga therapy) and the teaching will be cumulative, building on the prior weeks’ lessons.

*Unless otherwise indicated, all Enrollment Sessions are open for drop-ins, space permitting. To guarantee your spot and get the most economical pricing, enroll for the entire session!

This session is appropriate for experienced, intermediate-to-advanced practitioners, who are free of any serious injuries and looking for a challenging practice (i.e. a faster pace, and exploring more physically challenging postures like arm balances).

Hey Mama, growing a human being is hard work! Are you ready for more joy and laughter in your life? Add 75 minutes of self-care to your weekly schedule.

This class is suitable for expecting mothers in all three trimesters. Modifications and suggestions will be offered to help tailor the experience for each individual, in order to create a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

Prenatal yoga can support and maintain the emotional, physical, and spiritual health of expecting mothers throughout one of the most exciting periods in their lives. Join Jean and other pregnant mothers for a rejuvenating and gentle prenatal practice. Class will include safe sequences to open and strengthen the body, to help keep you stable during pregnancy and to prepare you for labor. Reconnect with yourself and bond with your baby through meditation and breathing practices, and build community with others who are expecting. There is no time like the present to nurture yourself, find more peace and calm in daily life, and prepare for motherhood!

3-week session: Yoga for Healthy Backs

This 3-class series on yoga for healthy backs will focus on the hips and low back, thoracic spine, upper back, neck and shoulders. Through gentle stretches, core-strengthening poses, and mindful breathing techniques, you will learn how to nurture your spine and reduce tension in the body. Each session with conclude with a restorative pose to allow the body to rest deeply and counteract some of gravity's constant pull on our spines.

The way we move (or don't move) our bodies and the way we live our lives affects our backs, and nearly everyone experiences back pain at one time or another. Fortunately, practiced mindfully and with guidance, yoga can help relieve back pain, and help us to avoid back injuries to begin with.

5-week session: Yin Yoga & Reiki

Over time, imbalances in our bodies can result in chronic pain.
Yin Yoga is a practice that strategically tractions the joints in the body’s core to help reverse the damage caused by aging, gravity and poor postural alignment.

This series offers a weekly tune up to undo the damage to our joints and connective tissue caused by misalignments, gravity, and the passage of time.

Classes include seated and reclining postures with your body supported by props (blankets, bolsters, blocks, etc). Postures are sustained for three to five minutes, stimulating the body to lay down healthy connective tissue and allowing you to experience stillness as the body repairs itself. Optional Reiki assists are offered to further promote healing.

No prior yoga experience is required. For those practicing from home, grab a bolster or some pillows, blankets and yoga blocks (if you have them); these props are available to use at the studio for those coming in-person.
