The seed for the Happy Yogi was planted one Christmas while Kris searched for a yoga bolster for Cindy. Much to his dismay he had to go online and order or make an appointment at a yoga studio so someone could be there to sell him one. He wanted instant gratification. At that moment a light bulb flickered in Cindy's head imagining a retail store devoted to the yoga lifestyle. A place where people could buy their yoga essentials in one stop or take a quiet respite from the busy street. With Cindy's retail experience, artistic creative energy, a growing devotion to yoga, the support and encouragement of her husband Kris and a multitude of yoga studios popping up around Portland The Happy Yogi was born.
